Craig Stephans grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. After earning a soccer scholarship to The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, he earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a master’s degree in Counseling and completed over 20 hours toward an MBA. He is the author of Shakespeare on Spirituality: Life-Changing Wisdom from Shakespeare’s Plays (currently available on Amazon). Also the author of Life as God Has It: A Return to Paradise (available from Amazon or the author), a book presenting the major themes of the Bible. Craig and his wife Missy were married in May 1991. They have lived in Charleston since then. They have a daughter Madeline born Sept 2002, a son Jack born June of 2007, and a golden retriever Henry.

In August of 2007, Craig began Seminary at Trinity Episcopal Seminary in Ambridge, PA (outside Pittsburgh) as a Postulant of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina. Craig completed seminary in December 2009 and was ordained to the Holy Orders of Deacons by the Rt. Rev. Mark Lawrence, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of SC.

Craig has gladly and excitedly accepted a call to be the rector of The Church of the Redeemer (Anglican) in Camden, NC just outside Elizabeth City. Craig, Missy, Madeline and Jack are thrilled for this new event and are eager to begin this chapter of their lives.
